Hi! Since (I think) there's no page for ITZY like "SKZFLIX". I was wondering if some MIDZY would like to help me doing a page for all about ITZY (Apart from the wiki I'm admin of haha)
@Its.daph.odil you can explain to me here
I honestly have a mixed opinion in this,
I do think that Lesserafim and Illit should improve their vocals because idols are supposed to sing. Hybe is the biggest company out there and the way they are moving with other parts of the company I would like to think that they have the money to get good vocal coaches to train their idols. I just really hope that they improve in their vocals as I would love to see them do live stages.
I think the criticism is fine but please don't hate any of them.
I also want to talk that, With the recent controversies surrounding Lesserafim and now illit, a lot of people have chalked this up to hybe groups in general not being able to sing. It's understandable that lsfm and illit definitely need more vocal lessons, but why are people quick to say it's a hybe issue overall, when the other groups under hybe do fine? I feel like it's an exaggeration to say "hybe's ruining kpop" and all that. Even if we exclude groups like svt and fromis9 that have obviously always had great vocals before joining hybe, even groups that debuted under hybe aren't particularly bad vocally. Bts, txt, enhypen, newjeans, boynextdoor and tws are all very solid and have no issues singing live when they do, so I just don't get why people are so quick to say no hybe groups can sing when only two are lacking vocally.
I'm a non-Asian American, who has been a K-pop fan for slightly more than 1 year. So I was curious if there are other popular music genres in South Korea that I am unaware of (since I am here in the States). Like, is there K-rock, K-alternative, K-country, etc.?
And are any of those musicians/singers as talented as the K-pop idols, or do South Korea's record labels focus mainly on the pop genre?
Any information or recommendations will be appreciated. 🙂🎶🎧
I remember when Jungwon posted some pics with this heart lol
